SHE TEAMS has been introduced in Telangana state with a moto to provide safety and security to women in Telangana State and to make Hyderabad a SAFE AND SMART CITY.
The program of SHE teams was launched on 24th October, 2014 with the sole aim of curbing eve teasing in all aspects, in all forms, at all places, providing safety and protecting Young girls and women in the society. Facilitating healthy environment for women’s mobility thereby instilling confidence in women to fulfill the Telangana Government commitment of making Hyderabad and Cyberabad corridors safe and secure to women. With no compromises and zero tolerance policy towards women safety is in the priority list of the government and 100 teams have swung into action under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police Crimes and SIT.
The Authorites have identified 350 hot spots which are majorly frequented by girls and Women in large numbers during the day like Bus Stops, Cinema Halls, College premises, In Buses and Trains & Shopping Malls Places and timings where eve teasing is prominent are identified and plotted. These places are under surveillance of these teams Stalkers are identified and brought to the CCS Police Station. Counseling is done along with stalker family members in the Police station. Legal action will be initiated as per provisions of Law. Stringent action will be initiated (Nirbhaya Act), if he comes to adverse notice again and again, repeatedly. One major feature of this initiative is the Victims name and identity will be kept confidential. SHE TEAMS which are already in the field will swing into action immediately after receiving the call in addition to acting on their own. A Strong Appeal to public transport drivers and conductors, MMTS Trains, to either inform to dial 100 service or take vehicle to nearest police station on information from women of eve teasing. Special Help Desk are there in the initiative besides Special cells to register crimes against women. Booking a petty case U/s 70 (b)/(c) of Cyberabad City Police Act Or booking an FIR Under IPC Sections / Nirbhaya Act and Producing the offender in the court are the primary tasks of SHE Team.
Cyberabad SHE Teams information:
Total Teams – 60 : 10 teams for each zone) In each team: Sub-Inspector of police as Team in charge 1 SOT PC, 1 ZTF PC, 3/4 WPCs.They will be shuffled on rotation basis for every 3 months
Total Hot Spots – 350 Total Cyberabad is divided into Two Zones i.e., East and West Zones

East Zone is headed by Asst. Commissioner of Police, covering (1) L.B.Nagar and (2) Malkajgiri Zone. West Zone is headed by Asst. Commissioner of Police, covering (1) Madhapur Zone (2) Shamshabad Zone (3) Balanagar Zone and (4) IT Corridor
